After the Drought, the Deluge

This was this morning, the water was much higher yesterday at its peak. Some places in the region got as much as 12 inches of rain ... a little too quickly.
A lot of wind too, so some trees came down. But not too much damage, overall, and we are grateful for the water!

This is the shot I took yesterday in the rain that showed how high the creek was -- another foot, and it would have reached the bridge and overflowed.
