hickling church, norfolk
good cross slab coffin lid, c1275 with lombardic lettering; let rosa by the mercy of christ enjoy the light of heaven whose heart by the law of earth is buried beneath this stone. it probably once marked the heart burial of a member of the de valoins family in the nearby priory church founded by theobald de valoins, though it was found buried in the parish church nave.
