c14 nave, with oddly positioned early c16 blocked archway for a (?)door, or arch to a chapel. to its left, a window of the same date, to its right part of what looks like the respond of a similar but bigger arch , though the low stonework reused by the georgians as a plinth runs right across this. why does the wall retreat where the blocked lower arch is, why is the wall above timber studded internally , and just where did the original nave end? there is little room for any rood screen on either side of the c16 doorway. presumably the small light was added by the victorians to light the pulpit .
