built 1867-8 by drewe and bower for the methodists, suprisingly architectural for that denomination, a solid pile of geometic and textural effects, taking many lessons from billy burges and ending up not unlike james brooks' work topped off with a naughty frenchified tower. I'd have liked to see how the interior worked; I imagine one space full of galleries, somewhat at odds with the churchy exterior.
