christ church cathedral, oxford

christ church cathedral, oxford
south aisle looking into nave, late c12. the cathedral seems to have been built quite quickly in what must have been an old fashioned style, only the clerestory of the nave shows pointed arches, though the piers of the arcade and the crockets on the capitals show knowledge of gothic buildings.
