winged scriptural scrolls in a roundel on the tower by a.g.walters, ironically apt as torah scrolls in this area of super othodox jewry, though the church was built in 1892-5 by joseph morris of reading for the late victorian agapemonite sect renowned for its lusty messiahs. the church is now a georgian orthodox cathedral.
