westminster abbey c13 sculpture

westminster abbey c13 sculpture
statue of christ in majesty, c.1240, at present in the dark cloister. I can't find anything about this in my old pevsner, nor the new one, nor the r.c.h.m., nor either bell's guide nor in bond, but it has similarities to the statue at swynnerton which was from the west gable of lichfield cathedral which is c.1260, and to work in lincoln cathedral and croyland abbey. it seems most likely to have been an external figure, but where from? there is no suitable niche on the north transept front which is the most obvious position for such a figure
