Fallen stela in Axum

According to our guide, this fell after it was carved as it was never successfully erected. Must have been a bit of an OOPS! moment. Sadly it probably resulted in big punishment (if not death) for whoever was in charge! It weighs 520 tons and no-one knows how these monoliths were raised.
