Whale Watching

Nikon D300 18-200
Fin whale, the second largest living mammal, after the Humpback whale. They sound or dive anywhere from 5-15mins, knowing where they will surface is the trick, and the operators of the water crafts are experts. I chose to watch from a fishing boat following the whale, in the zodiacs, although faster, water spray is inevitable, and I didn't want to risk damaging my camera. These images were taken in Nova Scotia, Canada near Cape Breton along the Cabot Trail.
