That's right up my street Joe. I love bandstands and often thought of doing a series of them. My favourite of the three is the middle one. Cheers, Rosa.

I am pleased you like these bandstands, Rosa. There was a lovely bandstand in the park here. I can't say I'm impressed by its replacement. Cheers, Joe

I have actually been through that black door and stayed in a room called the Blue Room. My friend, Margaret Slessor, came down from Aberdeen every summer, and both her Mum and my Mum worked in the R&A golf club. She couldn't go home every night so they used to stay here. I thought the Blue Room where she slept was the bees knees. The building looks unchanged but there were no huge bins like this outside in those day in the 1940s. We both learned to swim in the sea at the West Sands, just a short walk from here.

Thanks for this charming story, Amelia. Wheelie bins are the scourge of the urban-landscape photographer. LOL. All the best, Joe
