Das Schloß Braunfels
wird 1246 zum ersten Mal erwähnt. Bis heute sind die Besitzer die Grafen von Solms. Zwischenzeitlich hat es häufig die Besitzer gewechselt, wurde in Teilen zerstört, wiederaufgebaut und gelangte durch die Hände verschiedener Besitzer bis das es wieder den Grafen von Solms zufiel.

In Braunfels bin ich ein paar Wochen lang tgl. auf dem Heimweg von der Schule kommend
in Burgsolms aus dem Zug ausgestiegen, den Berg nach Braunfels raufgelaufen, um einen Krankenbesuch im Krankenhaus Braunfels im Wald zu machen. Lang ist's her. :)
Deswegen ist mir das Schloss gut bekannt.

Dann wüßtest Du sicher einiges zu erzählen, Ingrid.
Den Berg haben wir leider oder zum Glück bis an die Burgmauer mit dem Auto erklommen.
