Couldn't get it much more symmetrical, either the bridge or the canal would have to move! Hard enough with traffic passing my back all the time, and people wondering why I was being to fussy!

The road bridge at the entrance doesn't raise or swing, but drops down to the bottom. In times a plenty the locals come and grab fish off the bridge when it comes back up!
