This is one of the iconic images of Horseshoe Canyon, and it's creepy. What is that thing in the center, anyway?

What's interesting though is the perspective suggested (intentionally or otherwise) in the foreshortening of the surrounding figures -- the being in the center seems larger than life, and is surrounded by a ring of normal-sized beings while others look on from a distance.
