Thiras(s)ia is one of the group of 5 islands that form Santorini. It was split at the volcano eruption 3.600 years ago. So close and yet so far Thirassia stayed untouched by the tourism industries till today. Manolas seems like a journey into a Greece as it was 50 years ago.

Dettifoss is probably the most powerful waterfall in Europe, situated in the Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland. The sediment-rich runoff colours the water a greyish white.

Námafjall / Hverir: A hell on earth

The Námafjall Geothermal Area is located in Northeast Iceland, on the east side of Lake Mývatn. At this area, also known as Hverir, you will see many smoking fumaroles and boiling mud pots, surrounded by sulphur crystals of many different colours.

Above the cave there is a sheep pasture and a deep crevice in the earth, which reaches to the horizon. Here two continental plates separate.
