Olympische Winterspiele 2018 in Südkorea. Eisschnelllauf 500 m, Männer, in der Eissporthalle von Gangneung. Der deutsche Eissschnellläufer Nico Ihle auf dem Weg zum 8. Platz. Gefahren wird in Runden zu 400 m. Die Rundenzeiten betragen zwischen 26 und 28 Sekunden. The South Korean speed skater Cha Min-kyu at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. He won the silver medal in speed skating 500 metres after the Norwegian Håvard Holmefjord Lorentzen. The bronze medal went to the Chinese Gao Tingyu. Tragic detail: he equalized the olympic record of 34,42 seconds, but the subsequent winner was 1/100 seconds faster. The competition took place in the Gangneung Oval. Taken with the cell-phone. Medford, Oregon ► For Diane. (Are you okay?!) On July 28 2021, Swiss News Television was in Oregon, reporting on the heavy forest fires and heatwave around Medford and Eagle Point. There they also spoke with Mrs. Schultz. She has been clearing and cutting shrubs around her house in an attempt to keep the fire away from her home. Medford is only about 65 miles west (linear distance) of => Klamath Falls ! (42.3320, -122.8786)
