Selfridges discs

Selfridges discs
...just a few of the 15000 anodised aluminium discs on the side of the ill-conceived monstrosity known as the 'Slug' and the 'Selfridges Building' at the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham UK.

Although taken in colour against a very dark blue background, I added some vignetting and a a little more colour.

Valfal, Katja, Keith Burton, Gudrun and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

I think you have just disbarred yourself from a lucrative job with the City Council's planning committee!

Thank you, Norbert. I was just playing with the mundane and trying to be a little differable.

It may be a monstrosity but the details make a perfect abstract- nice editing, too!

Thank you for your kind words, Gudrun. I did not know where I was going when it started. I just wanted to get away from the repetitive discs and tried a few different things.

This is a brilliant abstract Neil...........very well thought out, processed and presented. The three spots of vivid colours are a masterstroke..!!

High praise indeed, Keith. Only it was not thought out as it just kinda developed as I was playing. Then the traffic lights appeared when I could not decide whether to stop or go on ;-)
