My Greenhouse

Dimensions 20 x 24 feet. A dream realized. I collect succulent plants and without a greenhouse, I had to haul them all inside and put them under lights in the winter. Not an ideal way to grow them. After I retired and moved to the country, I finally had the space for a greenhouse

After much studying, I designed it myself. A friend and I built it. I dug the foundation, he and I filled it with concrete, I laid most of the knee wall, and he did most of the rest while I fetched and painted. Now it is filled with plants which are much happier (although I do still haul some outside in the summer, to show them off in my garden

It has an in ground section in the center. Plants put in there are even happier and now bloom more freely and profusely. Some, that were well behaved in a pot, act like rank weeds when placed in the center. Every couple of years I dig it up and replant it when some things become overrun.
