Jablanica- Bridge by the Neretva River

Site of the Battle of the Neretva in 1943 where the partisans managed to evacuate over 4000 of their people, destroying the bridge after they had escaped the Nazis. The bridge was later reinstated but was deliberately destroyed again for the making of the 1969 Yugoslav film 'Battle of the Neretva'.
