Ce pin parasol est situé dans le jardin de la maison du cygne à Six-Fours-les-Plages (83-VAR-France).
Il mesure 15 mètres de haut. Sa circonférence est de 3,40 mètres. Son âge a été estimé à 130 ans. Montrant une longévité importante pour un pin, il peut vivre 250 ans et mesurer jusqu'à 30 mètres de haut. D'une croissance lente, le pin parasol affectionne les sols acides, secs et de préférence non rocheux. C'est une essence de pleine lumière qui réclame un fort niveau d'ensoleillement. En revanche, il craint le gel (- 12°C).

Je me demande toujours si méditer longuement sous ses frondaisons pouvait donner la sagesse.

Magnifique cet arbre. (J'adore les pins parasol mais je n'ai pas de chance avec eux.) J'en avais planté un dans mon jardin. La tempête de 2000 me l'a renversé.. j'en ai planté un autre. Il n'a pas résisté à un coup de vent. A sa place, j'ai planté un olivier. a ce jour, le vent l'a respecté.
