The idea is that people already knew White lives matter. But often we do a bad job of understanding that Black lives do, too.

Raising awareness is not racism.

Awareness works both ways... it is called tolerance.
I am not black nor really white, I am a mix of semitic and south american native indian, can hardly be accused of being a white racist.

Perhaps the language barrier is at work here. What I am trying to say is: the awareness already worked in one direction. The ascendancy of the phrase was/is an attempt to finally make it go in two directions.

Nobody here has called you a racist, Xata. We are just having a talk.

Ok! For me all lives matter and I think specifying which ones adds to racist reactions, nobody likes to be excluded and if we want to change things is not the way it is being done that will bring the desired results. But it is only my humble opinion.
