Waterwheels

L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue is, as the saying goes, exactly as it says on the tin, an island in the middle of the R. Sorgue in Provence. And throughout it’s journey round the isle it has watermills. I made it my mission whilst staying at a campsite there to capture every one of them. I think I succeeded. The town is full of very pretty restaurants and cafés, most with river views, and there are frequently markets along the right river bank.

I find it very hard to decide a favourite place/area in France; Provence is very high on that list.
