Jerry to win?

Jerry to win?
We know how to have fun in Somerset!

Fred Fouarge, Filippo Tosi, Max Biobauer, Stephan Fey and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ha ha....How strange. You'd need a lot of cider to watch that!
Did someone have too much before writing 'bere' ;-)

Glad it made you smile - I nearly had hysterics when I had a quick visualisation of Jerry being chased by Tom …

I was told that it is the only place that has hen racing it was decided to call them the world championship. Google it and you will find some videos of the races

Ha, ha.........sounds fun. Is that mice racing each other or humans racing against mice?

LOL. You sure do! I wish I could be there and watch. I'd definitely make time for this event, if I'd live in the vicinity!
Oh, pleeeease do go there, Maggs, and take some photos of the racing mice. Or even better make a video ;-)

P.S. What's a bere? If they mean beer by any chance, then their spelling is as funny as the mouse race ;-))

Bere - is the name of the hamlet and there's a cider shop there!

Oh, thanks for the explanation! My faith has returned in the spelling abilities of the local population :-)

Oh this made me laugh Maggs. So the mice need cider before they will race?!!!!!
My imagination is in overdrive, - how do they get them to race, - by dragging peice of cheese in front of them or maybe they send in the big cats to chase them!!!!

Mouse racing was fun until the big gambling syndicates got involved. Now it's all drugs and "special" cheese, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for preserving this, though. It's quite the piece of ephemera.

Vielleicht sind es ja "Weiße Mäuse", die gewinnen immer, die haben nämlich Blaulicht.
(So nannte man früher Verkehrspolizisten in Deutschland, aufgrund ihrer weißen Uniformen) ;-)
