It said "woof" to me!!

Taken many moons ago at Dawlish Warren, Devon, on my old Olympus - I doubt this piece of driftwood exists any longer.

The straw coloured marram grass helps stop the erosion of the dunes by extensive systems of creeping underground stems allowing it to thrive under conditions of shifting sands and high winds. For a really good walk, park in Dawlish and meander along the sea wall, [Please don't attempt this at high tide in a storm when it can be very dangerous.] by the side of the mainline from London to Penzance, to The Warren or take a slow train.

The large dunes and beach are great place to wander- but best experienced in the winter when the grockles have mostly left and weather is blustery ;))
