C26 with the initial value of 4n7.

Traces from top to botton: output voltage, output current (inverted), over-current signal, combined voltage/over-current control signal going to the power transistor drivers.

The output voltage is set to about 12V, which of course drives a much too large current through the load. After C26 has been charged sufficiently (green trace) the over-current regulation finally kicks in and throttles the current.

Of course the current has had plenty of time to damage the load.

What's also unfortunate with this design is that the amount of current flowing determines the slope of the green trace. When set to limit to small currents (a couple of mA) it may take quite a while (on a human timescale) until the current is finally regulated.
