Description:

On the cover, profile head of a woman

The so-called box mirror, which came into use during the late fifth century B.C., consists of two cast-bronze disks: one has a polished reflecting surface, and the other fits over the mirror as a protective cover. The cover was often decorated with a cutout relief.
