2000 Jahre Christentum (8xPiP)
Die 8.50m hohe bronzene Monumentalsäule des Künstlers Jürgen Weber in Braunschweig, die am 21. September 2006 dort auf dem Ruhfäutchenplatz enthüllt wurde.
Dort sind eine Reihe von Szenen der Entwicklung des Christentums in den letzten 2000 Jahren in chronologischer Reihenfolge dargestellt (s. PiPs).
Im Stelenkopf befinden sich die Symbole der drei Weltreligionen Christentum, Islam und Judentum. Zwischen ihnen ist der islamistische Angriff auf das World-Trade-Center am 11.09.2001 symbolhaft dargestellt:

Danke, Erhard! Ich fand, dass in vielen Fotos der Inhalt einfach untergeht. Immerhin ist der Inhalt nicht einseitig und trägt ein wenig zum Verständnis der Entwicklung der (christlichen) Welt in ihren Licht- und Schattenseiten bei. Bei Dir hab ich kein Foto von der Säule gefunden. Dein Blick darauf hätte mich mal interessiert...

Ich hatte mal eins bei Panoramio, da hatte ich das als gestitchtes Pano drin. Das war, ehrlich gesagt, eher so lala ... aber: danjke, das ist eine gute Idee, ich werde mir die Säule mal "vorknöpfen"!

bin gespannt! Immerhin hat die Säule ja rundherum laufende Darstellungen - da sieht jede Seite anders aus!
Meins ist übrigens auch ein gestitchtes Pano (4 Bilder), um die Darstellungen erkennbarer zu machen. Leider hab ich nur drei Bilder genutzt, daher sind die Ausschnitte nicht so super.

Thanks Amelia. There are much more storys on the colonne if you go round. It's really a masterwork. And the representations also do not conceal the crimes in the name of religion. I found it very interesting. Have a nice weekend and greetings to Adrian!
