Indian Pipe with seed pods
I remember when I first started noticing Indian pipes, which some people
know as "ghost plants." I was in my late teens, at the start of the 1970s
and I was trying to learn all the plants I saw. I did not succeed, and
never even came close. But I learnt this one, Monotropa uniflora.
