The Matrons College, Salisbury

"The College of Matrons.
Most Humbly Dedicated by Seth Bishop of Sarum in the Year of the Lord 1682."
Known as The Matron's College, it was founded in 1682 by Bishop Seth Ward to house twelve widows of clergy. Apparently, it still fulfils that function.
