Epidendrum magnoliae (Green-fly orchid)

These little orchids are just beginning to bloom in my front yard next to the porch. I rescued them a few years ago from a large limb that had fallen in a storm along the Atlantic coastal plain in South Carolina, and they manage to bloom for me around this time every year. I have them growing under the shade of a large camellia.

Scuttlebutt has it that the botanical name has changed back to what it was many years ago, but I'm keeping with the most recent incarnation...
