Platanthera conspicua (Southern White Fringed orchid)
One final summer-season trip to the Francis Marion National Forest in Berkeley County, South Carolina to finish up photographing the Fringed orchids.

In addition, I found a specimen of one of our most rare and unusual orchids of the Carolina coastal plain: Pteroglossaspis ecristata or Spiked Medusa orchid.
