Gymnadeniopsis clavellata (Club-spur orchid)

After finishing up with photographing the orchids and wildflowers in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, North Carolina, I headed north up Hwy. 276 toward the Blue Ridge Parkway -- my final destination being the wet cliffs of Wolf Mountain Overlook.
