I just finished a wonderful weekend trip with some great flickr friends. I have met the nicest people through my flickr contacts. It's great, because you already know what type of photography subjects the others are interested in.

The first day of the weekend trip was spent in the Francis Marion National Forest along the South Carolina coastal plain near Charleston. We toured all of my favorite spots, and thanks to our serendipitous meeting with the preeminent naturalist Dr. Jeff Glitzenstein, we were able to add a few more productive locations to our trip.

Along for the ride were Alan Cressler, Skip Pudney, Chris Davidson, and yours truly. We all had a great time photographing the native orchids and other wildflowers in the National Forest.
