Plaque at the episcopal palace

St. Medard has transferred the bishop seat to Noyon. The current palace is a reconstruction of how it looked in the 17th century, with some much older parts - like the bishop's chapel and ruins of the old Roland's tower.

After the Revolution the palace was sold and converted to various uses, a museum, a school and finally a museum again in 1970.
