A peine débarquées en Bordurie, Tintin et le capitaine Haddock sont contraints de monter à bord d'un véhicule officiel dont la calandre en forme de moustache fait référence au Maréchal Plekszy-Gladz, chef de l'état bordure.
Les deux "interprètes" qui les accompagnent s'apparentent davantage à des ......géôliers........
Le véhicule est inspiré de la "Chrysler-Imperial-Town-Limousine de 1953.
