Coal empties heading West for another load. Locos 2370 & 2350 leading the way. July 2019.
The distorted colour here is due to my having failed to change the colour balance from cloudy to automatic.

Peter, the colouring of this photo is more orange than in life due to the incorrect setting mentioned above. The other photos of the same day have correct colour, they were taken on a different camera.

Australia is one of the world's largest coal exporters and most of the coal travels 100-400 Km by rail to ports. This train was going to load at a mine ~170 Km inland from the port. There are a LOT of coal trains in the states of Queensland and New South Wales.
