Ring tour of the lakes of Sant'Anna di Vinadio (Cuneo) and some in French territory

Ring tour of the lakes of Sant'Anna di Vinadio (Cuneo) and some in French territory
This ring It's a very beautiful wide tour, with breathtaking views that change constantly, all at high altitude between the 2035 m of the Sanctuary of Sant'Anna (the highest in Europe) and the 2460 m of the Saboulè pass. We start from the Sanctuary and return to the same from Colle Sant'Anna, but if you want you can walk the ring in the opposite direction. I have already done it several times in both directions and I say that I never get bored. Years ago, several years ago at Colle del Lausfer I met several ibexes and roe deer, but for a few years now nothing more, perhaps because year after year the summer temperatures are higher and then maybe the animals go out in the morning very early. The total development of the ring is about 10 km that you cover in about 4 hours, but this depends on what you want to do. It took me about five hours, because I stopped countless times to take pictures, except to move away several times from the path climbing or descending from it always for photographic reasons. Starting from the Shrine, after a short time you meet the three lakes of Sant'Anna, one of which is quite large, and the others, although smaller but very picturesque. Going up towards the Tesina Pass (2400 m) there are two more on the right of the path, but for which you have to go back down a hundred meters. When you reach the Tesina Pass, turn left, while on the right you go down towards the Bagni di Vinadio, and then along a beautiful path, at certain points overlooking the valley (not dangerous), you reach the Colle del Saboulè (2460 m) from where you can enjoy a view of the French Maritime Alps. Turn left after a stretch without ups and downs, you arrive at the view of the lakes of Lausfer, below, for which you have to go back down. After the first big one and the emerald-coloured waters you go up towards Colle del Lausfer, having on the right side down the view of other lakes. Reached the pass (2430 m), following the path that runs along the ridge of the mountain on which opens again the view of the Vallone di Sant'Anna with its lakes and between various and strange rock formations, numerous overhangs you reach the pass Sant'Anna, (2308 m) from where a path that descends towards the road to Colle della Lombarda that climbs from Isola 2000 in French territory. Leaving this behind, take a mule track on the left that descends again to the starting point, meeting another small lake before the Sanctuary. Needless to say, along the entire route there are Alpine Crosses as well as casemates and forts of past battles fought in these places.
