Sanctuary of S. Anna di Vinadio (CN) - Interior of the Church with an uphill floor of 20°

The Sanctuary was founded on the basis of a legend that tells that Sant'Anna appeared to the shepherdess Anna Bagnis to indicate the place where to build it. It would have appeared on the boulder still today called of the apparition about 500 meters from the Sanctuary and located on the trail that leads to the pass of St. Anne, which acts as a watershed with the French territory. Of Saint Maria of Brasca speaks in a document dated 1307. The inclination of the floor of the Church was due to its construction when there was a glacier in that place.
