One man - Ten thousand stones
The Incans created narrow terraces on the steep mountainsides from which they grew crops to feed the city. Some of the boulders were too large to move so they just built the retaining walls around them.
Machu Picchu is believed to be the estate of a 15th-century Incan emperor. It is located at an altitude of 7,970 feet (2,430 meters) in the Andes mountains of Peru.
I climbed from the top to the bottom and back to the top of these terraces, which was rather difficult at this altitude. I owe my success to Diamox (altitude sickness medicine) and a good walking stick.
