Ayers Rock - Uluru - Australia is a rock formation that rises approximately 1,142 feet above the surface and has a circumference of 5.8 miles. It extends approximately 1.5 miles into the ground. It is sacred land to the Aṉangu aboriginal people.
The sandstone infused with feldspar (Arkosic sandstone) reflects the red light of sunrise and sunset, resulting in a glowing appearance.
