The Star Princess cruise ship dwarfs the port of Venice, Italy. The Star Princess holds 2590 passengers and is only one of several cruise liners that can use the port at the same time. Day trippers from the cruise ships and visitors staying on the mainland and the surrounding islands fill San Marco Square during the day.
