Perhaps you should have used your Leica III for this image to link it to history?:-) My father's Leica III came with endorsement advertising from the Third Reich - its close-up leg attachments and collar were used to photograph fingerprints apparently...

you're right. but my 2 leica III of 1935 and 1936. 1942 I only have a Summitar 5cm 10 blades with coated lens. Coated lens in wartime were reserved only for the military and government. Coated lens at that time was a military secret. Very nice quality lens! On this trip I already carry many cameras and did not want to take them all! I'm going back again in Normandy, every 4-5 years. Surely I will follow your suggestion. greetings
