Trona CA pinnacles(0338)

Trona CA pinnacles(0338)
Trona Pinnacles at some time in 2000 using the Honda CRV that I had at that time to give some sense of the size of the pinnacles. The pinnacles are tufa and the tallest are 140 feet. They have been used in multiple sci-fi TV series and movies, as well as in various commercials. They look far more mysterious and even larger from a distance than once you're up into them.
