San Angelo, TX 2546a

I remember San Angelo itself as being a pleasant small city with a park alongside the Concho River. The park was particularly memorable because it provided shade during the very hot parts of the summer. Not only does the riverside park still exist, but it has had many improvements over the years. Since I didn't have a car when I was there in the military, I don't know if the length of the park has changed, but it is about 8 miles of multiple parks that curve around the city along the river. On this visit there were many joggers and other users of the park, at all hours of the day and evening.
