37 670 & 37 401 at Kyle

37 670 & 37 401 at Kyle
A rather shabby-looking 37401 rests at Kyle, after arrival with a Northern Belle charter from Aberdeen.
Previously named "Mary Queen of Scots" and, more recently "The Royal Scotsman", 37401 has had a long association with the Scottish Highlands, including long periods on Royal Scotsman duties and the Fort William sleeper.
The loco is currently owned by DRS and has been meticulously restored by the SRPS Diesel Group at Bo'ness. Refitted with "Mary Queen of Scots" plates, 37401 should make it's preservation debut at the SRPS diesel gala between Christmas and New Year 2013. www.srpsdiesel.co.uk
