This pole which feeds a skishop, has an insulator that slid and poped right off one of the wood ridge pins mounted on the side. It is now just dangling around freely on the wire.

After taking the previous photo, I drove to the building right next to it, which was a restaurant. This pole feeding it here had two insulators that slide off its pins.

Here's a typical old one phase deadened pole in CE. Notice the high-top insulator or the bottom crossarm is just beginning the slide off the wooden ridge pin making this another on the list for urgent repair.

Look at how this line drop looks with its two free roaming insulators attached to it.

Not the best shot but notice the dead-end disks are not mounted on wood extensions but actually crossarms.

I just thought the way this riser pole and the way all the lightning arresters are pointed in different directions is CE all the way.

Many of the older transformer banks are mounted on these mounts that look like erector-set.
