I am quite sure it is not a Russula. A key characteristic of Russula is that the stalk is very brittle and breaks like a piece of chalk. If it was Russula sp. the cap would have broke off easily. Most Russula have yellowish spores, only a few have white spores and none of them (mushrooms) are white. In fact I know of no white Russula's. My guess is that you have a Clitocybe sp. Cheers!
