Memorial to John and Mary Darwin of Chapeltown Ironworks and Elsecar Works, Tankersley Churchyard, South Yorkshire

In the early nineteenth century the Fitzwilliams employed John Darwin and his family to run their iron works , unfortunately they managed to bankrupt it. Most of their memorials have disappeared in recent years. This one is one of the last to have escaped being turfed over.
