Luna's version of Gammeldags Æblekage

Our Danish WWOOFer Luna was going to make us Gammeldags Æblekage (Danish Old-Fashioned Apple Cake) which is usually apple puree, with a layer of crushed macaroons, and whipped cream on top. She varied it (as I can't eat almonds) by putting crushed Tim Tams on top instead. It was magnificent - more than the component parts
