It was Me! that took Me! Sarah, always carry a compact camera as a backup when out and about. just took this on a whim while sheltering from the rain waiting for some fellow photographers ;)) camera was set on a 10sec delay. Thanks for calling by, always appreciated. Regards, Bill.

I sometimes used to spend a few peaceful hours in these (Colne Valley disused and flooded gravel pits, Middlesex and Buckinghamshire borders). I would sometimes be joined by a twitcher, cameras and lenses all-a-dangling!
I got some odd looks - because at that time I didn't have a camera!!! I just enjoyed the peace and quite and watching the wildlife!
That is why you don't see photos from me between about 1986 and 2011!

Cheers Andy, spent hours in these, must say it get's blooming cold in the winter though, flask of coffee and a chit chat with others doe's the trick to keep warm! (Class this as a Portrait, Not a Selfee ;))...Regards, Bill.
