The decline and rise of SHUGBOROUGH

Viscount Anson was succeeded in 1818 by his son Thomas Anson who became the 1st Earl of Lichfield in 1831. It is reported he inherited a fortune worth £70,000 ~ an impressive amount at that time. The acquisition of land in the voting Boroughs ~ in order to protect his position as MP for Lichfield ~ escalating political expenses and a love of extravagance and gambling soon saw the 1st Earl fall into debt. Financial mismanagement by his agent added to the escalating prices. While buying up properties with voting rights around the town of Lichfield served as a reliable long term strategy. Anson was forced to add considerable expenditure on bribes and expenses to ale house keepers along with providing entertainment in the run up to the election.

Neatly composed and interesting spots of light. A well done architectural image.

I really like my compact Olympus, so easy to put it in my pocket. I also like the art filters and that my model is waterproof. I took it out in the rain after work today, something i would never do with my slr:)

I liked my Olympus Trip very much indeed ... ah the days of film ... but not many cameras
have the square format facility that you can have by default ... my Lumix does not sure
